Research Papers, Publications, & Presentions

Here is a compilation of a number of papers that we've been able to locate which have a connection to the facilities here at Sommers-Bausch. The bulk of the papers below utilized the observatory telescopes (most notably the 24-inch B&C Cassegrain)for some or all of their data collection. In others, specialized facilities at SBO were used (photometer, microdensitometer, etc).

Sommers-Bausch Observatory Internal Papers

Most of the activities at Sommers-Bausch are not directly tied to funded research, but instead are in support of student education and incidentally support research and research/training efforts by faculty, grad students, and undergraduates. To that end, we've developed a number of support facilities and sponsored numerous student research activities which have been internally documented, but not formally unpublished. Below is a partial list, which we will be adding to as time permits.

Annual Observatory Reports

During the mid-1980's the Bulletin of the American Astronomical Society published self-study annual reports about each of the major astronomical research facilities. The links below are what we've found regarding the facilities and activities here on the University of Colorado campus. We regret that the AAS suspended there annual reports, as they served as an accurate snapshot of what was happening here at the time, including some significant developments at SBO.
